  I have used AKMA design & build for my legal basement from scratch. Everything went smooth, Tanweer has done a great job, he stayed with in the budget. I am happy with the work and highly recommend someone looking for renovation or making a basement from scratch.

  We chose AKMA to renovate our new Ajax home and it was the best decision we made to work with this team! They were always on time with their appointments. They had a very professional and well skilled team. The tiler was excellent and a perfectionist! The team who built out cabinets did a superb job and worked diligently with me to bring my designs and vision to life. I'm a perfectionist myself and very detail oriented and I was exceptionally satisfied with the results. I wanted the best and got the best with AKMA!!! We gutted the master en suite, powder room and foyer and the whole kitchen. The results of the renovation are stunning and definitely a dream come true! Everyone on the team was polite, friendly, respectful to us as well as treated our home with care, professional and highly skilled at their craft. You will not be disappointed. We had a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend AKMA design and Build for your remodeling and renovation needs.

  I got my house build from AKMA Design & Build. I'll be honest, I was very worried initially as I had selected him based on the reviews I read on the Internet. But there was something in him that i could trust him right from the start. And he proved me right. He is a good builder but more than that, a great person. I can write reams but am summarizing my overall perception:
  Pros:
  - Honours his commitments
  - Knows his work
  - Very responisve: From the start up until now, there were no occasions when he did not respond to my phone call or email in a timely manner
  - He genuinely wants to make his clients happy
  - Remained within the budget
  Cons/Things that can be improved:
  - Contract: Since this was my first house, I did not know the type of details I should be putting in the contract. There were a few occasions where our understanding of scope or quality differed but everything was sorted amicably. It would be better for the customer and TK if one clarifies/have more details in the contract

  We worked with TK, Anwar and their team on our full home renovation including finishing our basement. The work that was done in our house was extensive and came with its own challenges (rerouting plumbing, ventilation, electrical) and installation of a beam to accommodate our beautiful open concept kitchen and family room. We couldn't be happier with the results. They brought our vision to life.
  The team was professional and respectful and very accommodating to us as we lived in our house during the renovations with little kids. They cleaned up every night and made sure to contain the dust and debris as much as possible. The tile work was exceptional in all areas. TK was a pleasure to work with and was available to answer any questions/concerns we had. We had a variety of products and finishes to choose from which gave us many options and he was always available for consultations and knowledge.
  We will definitely be working with AKMA Design and Build again. We highly recommend this team for excellence in quality, time management, professionalism, knowledge and fairness. We are looking forward to our next project with TK, Anwar and team.

  I am writing to highly recommend TK for the excellent basement work they recently completed at my home.
  From the initial consultation to the final walk-through, TK was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs. They listened to our ideas, offered suggestions and feedback, and ultimately delivered a finished product that exceeded our expectations.
  The quality of the work was exceptional. He is meticulous in the attention to detail and took great care in ensuring that everything was done to our satisfaction. He had completed the project on time 12 weeks and within budget, and kept us informed throughout the entire process.
  What sets TK apart from others in the industry is their commitment to customer service. He was always available to answer our questions, address any concerns, and make sure that we were completely satisfied with the work being done.
  Overall, I cannot recommend TK highly enough. He is very reliable, skilled, and customer-focused contractor for your basement renovation work.

  We planned to build our dream modern-looking house in Whitby, and after meeting with architects and obtaining the necessary permits from the city, the main issue remained finding a reliable contractor.
  We went to several home shows and interviewed various no-name and big-name contractors, and to our surprise, their prices were extremely unrealistic.
  I spoke with a friend who was building his second home with AKMA Design & Build. He assured me that Mr. Tanweer Khan is a man of absolute integrity.
  We interviewed Mr. Tanweer Khan and then checked his references, and when he prepared the quote, we were very impressed that the price was very reasonable and fair.
  I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Tanweer Khan, who has been extremely supportive and helpful throughout the process.
  He was very honest, transparent, and efficient from the moment we approached him about building a house with him.
  He provides excellent service and a collaborative, modern approach to house building creativity.
  His regular communication, punctuality, and commitment to an excellent finished product made the process less intimidating, and his team is experienced in all aspects of construction.
  I wholeheartedly recommend him and his construction team, and they are an excellent overall choice.

  We hired Tanweer and his team for our master bathroom renovation. We were hoping for the project to be wrapped up within two weeks as we had relatives visiting. Tanweer assured us the project will be finished within two weeks, and true to his word, was finished to our utmost satisfaction well within time. The work was terrific and exactly what my wife had envisioned. Tanweer, Arif and the rest of the team were punctual, conscientious and thorough. We are super happy and don't think we'll ever look for any other contractor to get our house needs taken care of.

  Bathrooms Renovated Oakville
  We had two bathrooms renovated by AKMA Design & Build based on a referral. Overall we are satisfied with the quality of work, and our bathrooms have garnered compliments from friends and family members. TK employs a good team (with an especially talented tiler who stands above the rest) and the work is well-done.
  Due to the nature of a large-scale project, it is important to work together with your contractor to be as thorough and detailed as possible when discussing your dream outcome. During the project, we put in ample time to make sure communication was clear and decisions aligned with our vision. Thanks to our collaboration, we now have two beautiful bathrooms which we look forward to enjoying for many years to come.

  As first time home owners ready to embark on our first major renovation project we did not know where to start. After going through a bunch of different contractors we came across Tanveer from AKMA Design & Build.
  He was very knowledgeable and provided us with prompt and competitive quotes.
  Tanveer’s teammates were thorough professionals and extremely respectful of our home and during the reno.
  A couple of discrepancies that cropped up during the build were addressed by Tanveer to our satisfaction.
  The project started and finished on schedule with no additional/hidden costs.
  Special shoutout to Arif from AKMA team who was amazing throughout the build process!
  On the whole, AKMA went above and beyond our expectations, often incorporating stuff outside the written contract happily. Would definitely recommend!

  As with everyone, we are always cautioned to choose a trustworthy contractor. I didn’t know tanweer, but as soon as we met, I can tell that he desires to meet your expectations and also sincerely wants to make your vision happen irregardless of the budget. He went above and beyond my request while also sticking to my budget. I never imagined I could have all the things done with the budget I gave him. But he is true to his word and is very responsive. His team is very professional, they know the pros and cons of any idea I give and is able to give a great recommendation. The quality of their work is exceptional at an amazing short period of time (from 7 weeks down to 5 weeks). It really comes down to how he is very organized in the daily work, delegates each area of the work to the proper person and sees to it that it is done according to his standards. What else can I say except that I’m happy to have found a trustworthy contractor who I can request service from again in the future. Even if you don’t have a design in mind, he makes it look awesome and up to date. Highly recommended to anyone who needs a contractor for their needs.

  With having little experience and knowledge about basement inspections , It was a blessing to have found Tanweer. Although he was busy with existing projects.. He made sure to make himself available to be on site during my basement inspection and take note of any changes required. Now a days It is a rare encounter for a professional of his caliber to carry such humility and integrity. When you meet him you can tell that he is very passionate about his craft and truly values helping his clients. Although the work currently is still in progress..I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is interested in home renovations.

  We went with TK and Anwar after meeting with multiple contractors and getting quotes. We felt they were able to offer the best quality for the most competitive price in the market and within a reasonable timeframe. It was the best decision we could've made!
  Our project started with a demo of the entire first floor of our home, including removal of a load-bearing wall. They managed the demo and clean up, rerouted all necessary utilites, and sourced and installed every material needed to support the second floor. This included TK and his team having to re-tile our shower upstairs (at no additional cost), because some of the plumbing was blocked by the new support beam.
  Then we met with their custom kitchen manufacturer, where we went through design specifications and finishes. The kitchen was delivered and installed professionally in a matter of weeks. While the cabinets were being made, TK's team completed the electrical, plumbing, and installed new hardwood floors.
  Last to be installed were the quartz countertops and backsplash, kitchen appliances and light fixtures. TK and Anwar were engaged with the project from start to finish, completing everything in 12 weeks.
  The cost we were presented with at the beginning of the project was the cost we ended up paying. Throughout the project we worked with TK to get quotes on extras/upgrades and they were added to the project seamlessly and without delay. One such upgrade was the refinishing of our fireplace (photos attached).
  TK and Anwar delivered everything to us on time, on budget, and to our exact specifications! They were also available post-project to follow up if anything was not exactly the way we expected. We will be going with TK and Anwar for any projects we have moving forward. If you are looking for a trusted contractor for life, look no further!

  My family and I recently completed our basement with AKMA design & build. We are delighted with the results! The contractor and workers were all very friendly and professional, diligently working to complete our basement within the time specified.
  The entire process was well planned, organized and executed to the highest level of perfection. Routinely cleanups took place almost on a daily basis. The highest quality of materials were used throughout the entire project. As a customer, I was pleased to see the excellent workmanship during all stages of the renovations.   We recently completed a build project for our 1000 sq ft basement apartment using AKMA Design and Build, and we are extremely satisfied with the results. We had approved design plans of what we wanted to achieve when we started the project and seeing the completed work at such a high quality is fantastic.
  We were impressed with the client focussed approach of the AKMA team and the integrity with which they conduct business. It was very clear at the start what the build process would involve, how long it would take and how much it would cost.
  Once the construction started, we picked out the material options for our renovation, tile options for the bathroom, cabinets and counter tops for the kitchen, door styles, flooring, and paint colors for all areas. This process was made easy by AKMA, they provided a preferred supplier for these items who were very helpful during the process, and it was evident they had a great working relationship with AKMA. The budget allowances were generally spot-on and additional costs were clear when we wanted to upgrade.
  With the project completed, we would say that not only are we completely satisfied with our basement renovation, but we also feel we have built great relationships with the team at AKMA. It was refreshing to work with a group of contractors that take pride in their work, the attention to detail is outstanding, and it shows in the final product.
  There is no doubt that we will contact AKMA Design and Build again for any further renovations and highly recommend anyone to consider them for new build or renovation work.

  When it comes to a home or basement renovation project, everyone wants to do it right with nice upgrades. There are a number of builders, contractors in the market who would like to take on renovation job of your house/basement. We heard a lots of stories that some people take the job but they never finish their work or leave jobs in the middle. In some cases, people grab money and run away. Agree with all of that!
  Well - we have come across with AKMA Design & Build who have been building custom homes, basement renovation, legal basements in GTA for many years now. They are primarily focused in North York, Scarborugh, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa area. They have successfully completed several projects which we have seen. Their work is of a superior quality, excellent finishes and don’t leave things in the middle. One thing we can say with great confidence is that AKMA will never run away from the job and would not leave you stranded.
  Our focus was that we wanted AKMA do our job right regardless of the time it takes to finish the job. It took a little extra time but delays are part of construction projects due to various reasons and is normal.
  Very recently, AKMA completed our legal basement project in Mattamy Seaton Pickering and we are very happy with the work they have done. They handled all legal requirements and build it following building codes and city inspectors requirements.
  I suggest that you make a right choice when you hire someone to do your job. Give AKMA call first for your construction project needs before you try out anyone else.

  Our experience with AKMA was amazing. TK and his team are very thorough in their assessment of the project and once it was underway we felt like we were in great hands.
